Jay-Z released his third album, ‘Vol. 2… Hard Knock Life’, on September 29th, 1998.
 
Singles included “It’s Alright”, “Money Ain’t a Thang”, “Can I Get A…”, “Hard Knock Life (Ghetto Anthem)”, “Money, Cash, Hoes”, and “Nigga What, Nigga Who (Originator 99)”.
 
The album featured production by DJ Premier, Swizz Beatz, Stevie J, Timbaland, Kid Capri, Rockwilder and more. ‘Vol. 2… Hard Knock Life’, became his most commercially successful album, with over 5 million in U.S. sales.
