Hip Hop History: Jay-Z Released ‘The Black Album’ On November 14, 2003

Today In Hip Hop History:

Jay-Z released his eighth studio album, ‘The Black Album’, on November 14th, 2003.

‘The Black Album’ was promoted as Jay-Z’s final album before retiring ( returning later in 2006 ).

The album featured production by Just Blaze, Kanye West, The Neptunes, DJ Quik, Timbaland, 9th Wonder and Rick Rubin, and others.

Singles included “Change Clothes”, “Dirt off Your Shoulder” and “99 Problems”.
